Whitaker Music Festival
There are few things in St. Louis more pleasant than the Missouri Botanical Garden. Add the Whitaker Music Festival, and the Missouri Botanical Garden is just plain heaven.
This year marks the 18th year of the Festival. Every Wednesday night until August 3rd, you can pack yourself a picnic, bring a blanket or lawn chair, and go to the Garden to enjoy the featured musicians. If you do not want to pack a meal, there is also food available for purchase.
Tonight, the Festival features Nigel Mooney who is considered one of Ireland’s leading jazz musicians. His album All My Love’s in Vain is one of Ireland’s highest selling albums.
The Festival begins at 7:30 p.m., and admission into the garden is free after 5:00 p.m. Entry is allowed until 9:00 p.m.
